bittersweet goodbye...

so it has been a bittersweet goodbye - Harry - Hermione, Ron, Jo Rowling - thank you so much for all you have given to my childhood - you showed me that good can triumph evil, that a person can make up for past wrongs through glorious acts of redemption and that love never fades once it is given. I cannot begin to express how much I loved the last Potter movie and how sad I am that it is now a closed chapter in my life. I will share these stories and films with my children someday - the magic will continue on through them.

exciting news!

Did you know Bellatrix means "Warlike" in Latin? I played with naming my cat Bellatrix and went with Bela Lugosi instead lol (vampire or wizard - his bite decided for him)

So as exciting as it is that Harry Potter has premiered to rave reviews and is 3 days away from general release - even more personally exciting in my life is a second interview at a job I really really want! So readers - please cross your fingers for me tomorrow that all goes well - I am off to press my suit and get myself together.

9 Days Till Harry...

I needed some humor today - with my final project hanging over my head - this week hasn't been sunshine and roses - more library and long hours - but Harry is the light at the end of my proverbial tunnel! I thought you all might enjoy a laugh as well  - especially at Voldey's expense!

10 Days of Potter :)

So, for the next ten days I thought I would share Harry Potter Quotes, interesting tid-bits and ideas to have your own Harry Potter Party before the last movie is released July 15th!

Personally this is a bittersweet moment for me and most of my friends because for as much as we are excited to see the last film and witness the Battle of Hogwarts - we know at the same time we are saying goodbye to a piece of our childhood. Thank you Jo Rowling for giving nerdy magic loving bookworm kids like myself a safe refuge. Harry, Hermione and Ron became friends when I needed them most - it will always be real for me.
